So if you feel like you don’t want to pay extra bucks that is totally your call.

Usually the tradition of tipping steps from showing people our appreciation for their hard work, especially those

in the moving services industry.

A lot of employees in the service industry get decent pay, however, it never hurts to show a little gratefulness for their hard work.

This is why we usually tend to tip waiters, movers, valets, and other similar employees. But again, it is not rude to not tip movers.

How Much To Tip Movers

If you are doing a large-scale move then we suggest you give a 15% to 20% tip on total cost, and 5% to 10% on smaller moves. Make sure you consider various factors if you are unsure about tipping such as the narrowness of the halls, flights of stairs, tolls, and weight of all your belongings.

If you feel that the house movers have gone above and beyond, prevailing through the difficulty of the move then you can give them a bigger tip.

If you like you can also pay a flat fee of your choosing, you can pay $4 or $5 per hour to each mover, or if they have done an exceptional job then consider giving them $7 or $8 per hour too.

The time you pay the movers is also important. Make sure you tip them AFTER the job has been complete.

This will allow you to gauge whether the house movers are deserving of tips or not.

However, do keep in mind that money is not the only way to show gratitude. You will also have to show them a lot of respect as they are individuals deserving of it. You cannot expect to have a rotten attitude throughout and attempt to give money to fix it. Remember, apps like EVOM allow house movers to rate consumer profiles as well.
